The Department of the Air Force has awarded V2X subsidiary Vertex Modernization and Sustainment a potential $425 million contract to provide central display unit, or CDU, hardware and support for F-16 aircraft.

What Are the Details of the F-16 Center Display Unit Line Replaceable Unit Contract?

According to the award notice published Wednesday on SAM.gov, Vertex M&S will supply CDU full kits, line replaceable units, shop replaceable units and associated hardware as needed. The contract will also cover general technical support, including software and firmware support, organic depot and sustainment support, CDU interim contractor support, repair and other related services.

The award is intended to cover both anticipated and unforeseen needs of the CDU program, such as increased demand, enhanced capabilities and potential technological upgrades. The potential 10-year contract, awarded on Sept. 29, consists of a five-year base period plus a five-year option. Work will be performed at Vertex’s facility.
