MANTECH has secured a potential seven-year, $910 million task order to provide enterprise-level cyber and data-informed IT services for U.S. Southern Command, or SOUTHCOM, and mission partners.

The company said Thursday the General Services Administration awarded the task order.

“Always advancing the capabilities of our warfighters and delivering the all-important edge in combat, MANTECH advances our clients’ missions and national security,” said Matt Tait, president and CEO of MANTECH

“We are proud to support SOUTHCOM in meeting this essential objective,” added Tait, a three-time Wash100 awardee.

The task order includes the delivery of network architecture, IT, infrastructure platforms and network modernization guidance to help SOUTHCOM prepare for future artificial intelligence deployment.

“MANTECH’s mission depth, leadership in AI and expertise in mission-focused technology solutions are key to the DoD’s most critical priorities,” said David Hathaway, president of MANTECH’s defense sector.

“Nearly half our people are U.S. veterans with deep knowledge of DoD missions, networks and infrastructure, and the know-how to drive outstanding performance in every military zone and theater,” added Hathaway.

Doral, Florida-based SOUTHCOM is one of the Department of Defense’s unified combatant commands responsible for providing contingency planning, operations and security cooperation support in its assigned area of responsibility, which includes South America, Central America and the Caribbean.
