Day & Zimmermann has launched a new division focused on helping intelligence partners and security organizations mitigate and respond to complex threats in a rapidly evolving security environment.
D&Z said Wednesday that the National Intelligence Division, or NID, uses advanced data analytics, real-time threat assessment, integrated security, secure infrastructure design and technology to support the U.S. national security mission.
The division offers support across several areas, including protective operations; cleared staffing; technical; operational management; architecture, engineering and design; and advanced engineering consulting services.
The NID team will collaborate with D&Z’s government services advisory board.
“With decades of experience partnering with the Intelligence Community, we are proud to build on that legacy with a continued focus on the future of the Mission,” said Doug Magee, president of D&Z’s government services group. “As threats evolve, so too does our commitment to helping the U.S. Government stay ahead — anticipating tomorrow’s challenges.”
D&Z National Intelligence Division Leadership Team
Shawn Roslin, vice president of NID and international programs; Rachel Toner, senior director of mission solutions for intelligence; and Heather Zurburg, principal analyst, lead the new D&Z division.
Roslin is a former senior intelligence officer at the CIA with over three decades of intelligence community experience. The U.S. Marine Corps veteran brings to the role his skills in risk mitigation and analysis, protective operations, threat management, antiterrorist force protection, counterintelligence and special investigations.
Toner has more than a decade of experience working with IC leadership and industry to turn insights into actions. The Christopher Newport University graduate has supported SOC’s years of service to the IC using her expertise in driving strategic planning, market analysis and organic growth.
Zurburg has over 10 years of experience in all-source analysis, investigations, tactical targeting and strategic assessments supporting the IC, Pentagon and federal and state law enforcement agencies. She previously served as a strategist and policy adviser within the Office of the Director of National Intelligence and as an intelligence analyst with the State Department’s Diplomatic Security Service.
