The U.S. subsidiary of BAE Systems has appointed Anjali Chaturvedi, a more than three-decade legal professional, as vice president and chief ethics officer.

The company said Tuesday that Chaturvedi will oversee BAE Systems Inc.’s strategy and execution of its ethics program, reporting to the company’s general counsel as part of the senior leadership team.

Who Is Anjali Chaturvedi?

Chaturvedi most recently served as VP and associate general counsel for litigation and investigations at BAE Systems Inc.

Before joining the company, she was a deputy assistant attorney general in the criminal division of the Department of Justice.

She held senior leadership positions at Northrop Grumman and BP and served as a partner at Nixon Peabody.

Earlier in her career, she worked as an assistant U.S. attorney in Washington, D.C., and Northern California and as a counsel to the late Senator Dianne Feinstein on the Senate Judiciary Committee.

She also served as an adjunct professor at Georgetown University Law Center and the University of California College of the Law, San Francisco.

The Cornell University industrial and labor relations graduate earned her Juris Doctor from Georgetown University Law Center.
