Oracle has promoted Colby Shifflett, a senior technical leader, to chief technology officer for its government, defense and intelligence program.
Shifflett announced his new position at the software company in a LinkedIn post published Tuesday.
He brings to the role a wealth of experience in both federal government technology and commercial enterprise platforms.
Who Is Colby Shifflett?
Shifflett most recently served as technical director of consulting at Oracle, according to his profile on the professional networking site.
He joined Oracle in 2023 as a solutions architect after spending a decade at CIA, where he held several senior technology roles, including chief of enterprise data analytics, head of technology and communications, chief of enterprise engineering services and regional computer officer.
Earlier in his career, Shifflett worked as a Linux engineer at Sotera Defense Solutions and as a database administrator at AECOM.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science from Clemson University.
