The Department of the Air Force’s 99th Contracting Squadron has issued a solicitation for a potential $185 million Simplified Acquisition of Base Engineering Requirements, or SABER, contract.
SABER Contract Scope
According to the request for proposal notice published on SAM.gov Friday, the indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract provides for design and construction projects aimed at maintaining and enhancing critical infrastructure at Nellis Air Force Base, Creech Air Force Base, Range 63, Point Bravo, and the Nellis Test and Training Range. Projects under the SABER program may include carpentry, roofing, heating, ventilation and air conditioning, or HVAC, plumbing, electrical, excavation, demolition, concrete, masonry, road repair and other facility-related services.
The program will have a five-year performance period, while individual task orders will be valued between $15,000 and $4 million.
The requirement, reserved as a Historically Underutilized Business, or HUBZone, set-aside, will be awarded via individual task orders. The bonding capability requirement is $40 million. Interested vendors can submit their responses by November 12.
