Home Contract Awards Navy Awards $1.5B Contracts for Construction Services in British Indian Ocean Territory

The U.S. Navy has awarded five companies indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contracts with a combined value of $1.5 billion for construction, renovation, modernization, and routine repair and maintenance services at the Navy Support Facility on the island of Diego Garcia in the British Indian Ocean Territory.
Work on the contract is expected to be completed by September 2033, if options are exercised, the Department of Defense said Wednesday.
The contract was competitively procured online with five offers received. The Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command Far East, which is housed inside the Commander, Fleet Activities Yokosuka in Japan, serves as the contracting activity.
