Danbury Mission Technologies, an ARKA Group business unit, received a $95 million firm-fixed-price contract from the Defense Logistics Agency to provide services supporting the AVR/2B laser detection system program.
AVR/2B Laser Detection System Program Support Contract
The Department of Defense said Monday the U.S. Army will be the primary recipient of the services delivered by the Danbury, Connecticut-based company. The indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract, a sole-source acquisition, will be handled by DLA Land and Maritime, located in Aberdeen, Maryland. The five-year agreement, which does not include option periods, is funded through the U.S. Army’s fiscal 2025 working capital funds. The ordering period concludes on July 13, 2030.
Previous LDS Program Support Contract
In December 2023, the Army awarded a five-year, $136 million follow-on contract to Danbury Mission Technologies to deliver, test and install AN/VVR-4 laser detecting systems on military ground vehicles. The project involved the installation of 510 laser detecting sets and 40 laser diode pulsers.
