CACI International has recruited Dwayne Dickens, a retired U.S. Army colonel, as its new chief strategy officer.
Dickens confirmed his new role in a LinkedIn post Wednesday.
Dwayne Dickens’ Responsibilities at CACI
As CSO, Dickens will be in charge of the strategic direction of the company’s Transport and Cybersecurity Program.
The executive will also identify and evaluate emerging technologies and vendors to drive innovation and enhance the company’s ability to meet mission needs.
CACI is a professional and IT services company supporting government and military missions. The company recently secured a seven-year task order valued at $437 million to enhance force protection, mission assurance and theater strategy execution for the U.S. Africa Command.
Dwayne Dickens’ Military and Industry Background
Dickens comes to CACI from Amazon Web Services, where he recently held the position of senior customer solutions manager. He also led as a branch chief at Resolute Support.
Before entering the private sector, the executive served as an executive liaison and chief of the Strategic Effects and Special Programs Division for the U.S. Cyber Command. He also held leadership roles at the North American Aerospace Defense and the U.S. Northern Command.
Earlier in his career, he was commander of the 44th Expeditionary Signal Battalion.
Dickens holds a bachelor’s degree from Ohio University and a master’s in military and strategic leadership at the U.S. Army War College.
